The joy of cutting wood I have had since I was a boy, where I had the opportunity in my father’s studio to work with wood. My father, who was a sculptor, had all the tools needed to work in wood and stone.

Then it turned into toys for the children, and then for the grandchildren. In the ‘80s, I made small batches of fishing boats and Christmas boats for the employees.

With the exhibition ‘Let the thoughts soar - the illusion of flying’ at Marienlyst Castle in 2006, I produced a wide range of wooden planes inspired by my fascination for special aircraft models. Jan and Poul from Normann Copenhagen put one of my models into production, the ‘Plane’ airplane, which was later exhibited at the World Expo2010 exhibition in Shanghai, China.

From 2012 it became the series of Arctic animals, which are continuously produced in smaller series of 30 pieces. Apart from them, most of the other works of the book are largely unique, differing from mass-produced wood products from the East.
My work with wood has over time become
a lot of expressions and models, which are collected in the book.
